QBE National / Stafford / Casualty

Casualty

Stafford operates on a UK wide broker development strategy for business largely through the Business Portfolio product range, launched in May 2009.

From a development perspective its business model is based on the same ethos as all the other National offices in terms of quality, access to underwriters and to offer products that brokers are looking for. The key differentiator for Stafford is in the way that broker solutions are delivered and the use of technology will always be at the forefront of that development.

At a wider development level the Stafford team have an extensive broker database – currently in excess of 3,000 brokers. Although not all of those offices still actively trade with Stafford the database is kept up to date for potential initiatives in the future.

Using the external broker software developer, Acturis, to create an underwriting processing platform to deliver simple and efficient solutions, the Business Portfolio range was developed. The main broker development focus in 2009 is to activate and develop Acturis broker users across the UK.

The two casualty involved products within the Business Portfolio are  designed to have a standard cover with options to upgrade plus the ability to add optional cover extensions.

The core products contained in the Business Portfolio range include:

  • Tradesman
  • Business combined
  • Professional Indemnity
  • Office

It is expected that further products will be added to the range in the future.
