QBE Underwriting Limited is a wholly-owned subsidiary of QBE Insurance Group and is one of the largest managing agent operating within the Lloyd's insurance market, with a projected gross written premium (excluding brokerage) of £1bn for 2009.

For 2008, QBE's Lloyd's businesses concentrate on the following market sectors via six trading units (syndicates):

A leading non-marine liability syndicate in the Lloyd's of London Insurance market operating within the QBE Casualty Division.

QBE Re Europe writes Lloyd's business through its leading excess of loss reinsurance syndicate specialising in non-marine property, aviation, marine and personal accident business.

QBE Marine & Energy Syndicate 1036 underwriting in the Lloyd's market, specialises in hull, energy, liability, specie, cargo, war and allied risks.

Syndicate 1886 allows the flexibility of writing on Lloyd’s paper for the Casualty, Motor and Specialty Products, as well as British Marine.

Part of the QBE Property Division, the Property Syndicate 2000 offers clients the option of Lloyd's paper.

5555 is the specialist syndicate of QBE's Aviation Division.
